GEZI PARK PROTESTERS
Between 2012 and 2016, I was living in Istanbul. In the Gezi Park Protests of June 2013, a lot of friends participated. Those protests became a defining point, and a turning point of Turkish politics.
Together with fellow photographer Arnold Pöschl, I tried to tell the story of those individual protests in staged portraits, photographed in July and October 2013.
Gezi Park Protesters has been shown in exhibitions at the European Month of Photography – Eyes On, the House of Photography Vienna, Art Lane Gallery Klagenfurt, and was part of an installation at Klagenfurt University.
