Hasankeyf, Batman province, Turkey, 6. July 2019. A concrete sarcophagus covers Roman and medieval ruins to protect them from the waters of the Ilisu reservoir. The dam is expected to be operational for the next 50 years. Scientists say that, once the dam is no longer in use, Old Hasankeyf can be excavated again.
